The Role:
The NetSuite Developer will join our Business Operations Team. You will help transform business specifications into system capabilities, maintain and improve on technical design and workflows, quality assurance, implementation, and on-going post-production projects. Day-to-day may consist of projects to support and resolve performance issues, ticket requests, identify and recommend solutions to resolve system issues, maintain effective software performance, identify ways to improve productivity, and implement best practices related to software development (e.g., coding standards, integrations and security best practices).
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the design and functionality of the ERP system is driving value and efficiency for the organization.
- Partners with business/process owners, administrators and engineers to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Design, implement and maintain configurations and customizations of NetSuite to meet the organization’s business requirements.
- Develop, test and deploy customizations, custom objects and new NetSuite functionality based on evolving business needs.
- Create new features while continuously aiming to improve the performance, stability, and scalability of our financial systems.
- Write and test modern SuiteScript of all types (e.g., Suitelets, Restlets, Scheduled scripts, etc).
- Maintain and support the NetSuite ERP applications and related 3rd party integrations for internal stakeholders.
- Identify, evaluate and recommend other key technologies required to support and improve the business process centered on the NetSuite platform.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NetSuite functionality, customization, and integration.
- Maintains a broad and thorough understanding of current software development techniques, methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Support and help manage the change management and release process for NetSuite.
- Provide second line support with regards to all aspects of NetSuite and data integrity.
- Develop, document, and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity and change protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or Accounting / Finance or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of NetSuite ERP Development experience
- Experience writing Javascript and working in an Agile environment with scrum methodology
- Preferably with NetSuite certifications (SuiteFoundation, Administrator, SuiteCloud Developer, ERP Consultant, Financial / SuiteAnalytics User).
- Expertise in NetSuite Accounting, Financial Management, Order Management, Supply Chain, Audit and Controls.
- Strong knowledge and experience with SuiteScript, SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk, and SuiteCloud Platform.
- Proficiency with custom record types, fields, forms, roles and permissions, page layouts, saved searches and reports, and NetSuite data model
Bonus Skills:
- Working with Salesforce (SFDC) Integrations
- Working with warehouse management system (WMS)
