ISD Manager - Production Applications

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Production & Procurement Applications Manager to join our Information Technology team in Kennesaw, GA. This role is responsible for leading a team to deliver and support Production & Procurement applications including cross functional integration with Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Transportation. The Production & Procurement Applications Manager directs and coordinates activities within the Information Services Division related to a specific application or defined business functions. Supervises staff and contract resources.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for Manufacturing Applications portfolio focusing on, Production planning, Materials management, and Inventory management.
  • Build, Design and Implement Manufacturing solutions that will integrate well across functional areas like Planning, Procurement, Warehousing and Accounts to reporting modules.
  • Be the subject matter expert to assist team members in solution building, provide functional and technical expertise in the area of production applications.
  • Create a productive team through hiring, managing and inspiring. Responsible for the planning, scheduling, staffing, and monitoring of development and maintenance tasks for their assigned applications.
  • Project Delivery: Coordinates project team's efforts in the support of existing production systems by priority and in the execution of new supply system projects, ensuring that detailed project plans are created, covering the entire systems development life cycle, and associated project budgets.
  • Review systems and practices to ensure compliance in procedures, regulations and standards and continual improvement.
  • Responsible for planning, prioritization, and execution of Division projects and initiatives including budgets and project plans.
  • Provide leadership and ensure adherence to accepted ISD guidelines for project management and systems development methodologies.
  • Provide status updates and other reporting or presentations related to ISD projects, initiatives, and long-term plans to Business Management and ISD groups at all levels of the company.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent. Minimum ten (10) years of IT experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience leading an SAP or equivalent applications development and support team.
  • Large-scale project management experience.
  • Production applications expertise with 8 to 10 years' IT experience with a minimum of five (5) years' experience implementing SAP technologies or similar and directing personnel management.
  • Cross functional integration with Sales Order Management and Accounting.
  • Experienced in 2-3 full lifecycle ERP implementations like SAP etc. in Production Planning, Material management modules.
  • Experience in MES (Manufacturing execution system), PDM (Product Data management), PLM (Product Lifecyle Management) software's
  • Knowledge of configuration, fully understanding the capabilities and limitations of the functional solution, including classes, characteristics, tables, dependencies
  • Knowledge Master data (bill of materials, work center, production versions, material master, recipes/routing)
  • Knowledge of integration points with IBP, EWM, MES, PDM, PLM is preferred.
  • Desirable experience in S/4HANA.
  • This position requires work to be done onsite.
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident status is preferred.
  • Effective team member with demonstrated 360-degree leadership abilities.
  • Customer and team oriented with the ability to work and communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
