The CMMS Technician plays an important role in managing our new state-of-art Headquarters building. Working alongside the maintenance supervisors, engineers, and coordinating with outside vendors, this position is responsible for all activities related to managing work orders, maintenance plans and building asset management. The CMMS technician is the subject matter expert for the system and ensures that other users are trained, KPI's are created and reported on, the CMMS database is maintained, and integrations with other systems, such as the Smartbuilding software, work as designed.

Candidates must have a strong work ethic, balancing strategic thinking and analytical skills with results orientation and excellent problem-solving skills in a highly energetic and fast paced environment.

Working conditions:

The normal work environment is an office setting; however, this position will be expected to frequently interface with mechanics and/or engineers in the media production environment. The manufacturing areas may be outdoors (cold temperature extremes) or indoors (high temperature extremes). This environment also requires the use of PPE such as hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, and protective shoes. Certain areas in the manufacturing buildings also require hair nets, beard/mustache covers and Tyvek clothing. Certain areas restrict the use of unapproved electronic devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage CMMS as the Subject Matter Expert
  • Manage work orders in the system, ensure proper creation, planning, update, and closure of work orders
  • Manage Preventative Maintenance schedules
  • Manage vendors, and Coordinate work with vendors and contractors
  • Maintain the asset database in the CMMS
  • Spare parts inventory management
  • Be able to coach and educate staff on the CMMS function and best practices for performing tasks
  • CMMS problem solving and issue escalation to Technology team or vendor.
  • Assists with tracking maintenance performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
  • Generate reports in the CMMS
  • Continuous improvement of CMMS including spare parts inventory management

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with IWMS, CMMS or related systems
  • Minimum of 3 Years experience with planning, coordinating and auditing overall facilities/maintenance activities
  • Working knowledge of Building Maintenance systems is desirable
  • Strong proficiency with productivity software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Good communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
