People Operations Specialist

We are seeking a People Operations Specialist to join our People team. This role ensures the smooth functioning of HR processes and systems, manages HR data, oversees employee lifecycle processes, and supports HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate combines operational HR expertise with data-driven decision-making to optimize HR operations and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for a seamless employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in the HRIS system.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Conduct regular HR audits to ensure policy and legal adherence.

HR Operations and Support:

  • Manage the HR Employee Mailbox & Ticketing System as the first level of support for employee inquiries.
  • Respond to employee questions on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Support payroll processing for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR metrics to support decision-making.
  • Analyze employee survey data (e.g., job satisfaction) to drive improvements.

HR Initiatives and Systems:

  • Collaborate on corporate-wide HR initiatives.
  • Support implementation of new HR systems, policies, and programs.
  • Assist with job analysis, performance evaluations, and performance management systems.

Ad Hoc Support:

  • Provide additional support to the People Operations Team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR operations experience; data analysis experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

The base salary range for this role is $64,000.00- $83,000.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
