Job Duties

As a SIEM Technical Solutions Architect at WWT, you will play a critical role in guiding our clients through the complex landscape of security information management. Your expertise will be vital in shaping strategic outcomes in SecOps, with a focus on empowering teams to leverage SIEM technology effectively.

Your role encompasses leading the development and promotion of SIEM strategies and best practices, ensuring that our clients are equipped with cutting-edge solutions to combat modern security threats. By spearheading the go-to-market (GTM) strategy, you will help foster the adoption of SIEM services, elevating security monitoring, event management, and real-time analysis.

Your responsibilities will also involve:

  • Generating strategic and tactical solutions in the field of SIEM, delivering insights and intelligence that safeguard against advanced threats.
  • Streamlining communication to clarify the complex value proposition of SIEM tools to the sales teams and clients.
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and partners to develop multi-vendor SIEM solutions and architectures.
  • Showcasing your thought leadership through a variety of channels, including speaking engagements, blogs, podcasts, and industry events.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest SIEM trends, standards, and practices to guide proposal and solution design alongside account teams and partners.
  • Providing in-depth consultation to WWT clients, understanding their challenges, and presenting tailored SIEM solutions that deliver tangible business value.
  • Regularly updating WWT account teams on SIEM solutions, maintaining a strong connection with key industry players like the Cisco Security team, and engaging in ATC lab initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining tools and documentation that support SIEM sales and implementation, including sizing guidelines and reference architectures.
  • Defining proof-of-concept criteria and customer engagement strategies to ensure the successful deployment and adoption of SIEM technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Empower other team members and customers to overcome SecOps challenges through your SIEM expertise.
  • Provide GTM strategy and thought leadership for SIEM adoption and services.
  • Advocate best practices for Security Information and Event Management within the public cloud and SecOps.
  • Create tactical SIEM solutions that enhance security responsiveness and intelligence (covering aspects like log management, event correlation, and real-time alerting).
  • Simplify SIEM messaging and support sales teams with vendor rationalization.
  • Develop pragmatic roadmaps that align with business outcomes through pre-sales discovery sessions.
  • Position yourself as the go-to SME for SIEM with regional sales teams.
  • Facilitate multi-vendor architecture creation that meets client needs.
  • Engage in and contribute to thought leadership endeavors.
  • Stay informed about the SIEM industry landscape, including market trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate on SIEM-aligned proposals and client presentations.
  • Serve as the trusted SIEM advisor for clients.
  • Educate and inform WWT account teams about SIEM solutions.
  • Foster relationships with key partners in the security industry.
  • Contribute to ATC lab activities focused on SIEM.
  • Produce and maintain technical sales and documentation tools for SIEM.
  • Offer strategic SIEM consultation to clients.
  • Understand and recommend integrations with existing technologies.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in selling and consulting on SIEM solutions.
  • Technical proficiency in SecOps practices, especially related to SIEM.
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools and their application in real-world scenarios.
  • Success stories from pre-sales engagements.
  • Excellent skills in creating documentation and conducting technical presentations.
  • Experienced in facilitating architecture and design discussions.
  • Proven ability in developing security monitoring and event management solutions.

Experience and Certifications

  • 5+ years in a SIEM-focused role, such as Security Solution Engineer or equivalent.
  • Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
  • Preferred advanced security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CISA...).
  • Practical experience with SIEM platforms and their integration into diverse environments.
  • Must possess relevant pre/post-sales SIEM vendor certifications relevant to the position
