What will you be doing?
World Wide Technology, Inc. is currently searching for a Server Infrastructure Technical Solutions Architect to maintain and expand our data center compute business. This strategic position will reside within the Data Center Infrastructure Practice within the Global Solutions & Architecture team. This resource will be responsible for evaluating and developing new compute solutions for the WWT Advanced Technology Center (ATC), enabling our regional technical and sales field resources, and working on strategic sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Data Center Infrastructure team, executives, regional architects, and sales leadership to set go-to-market strategy for WWT to grow the compute business.
- Build and maintain collateral for our field to help them position and sell compute solutions. These could include Brochures, Briefings, Workshops, Reference Architectures, Advisory Services, POCs, and demos
- Train WWT and/or partners on our unique ability to market, sell and deliver compute solutions
- Collaborate with our professional services organization to set the strategy for growing our compute business
- Develop partner ecosystem relationships that are complementary to WWT's go-to-market strategy around compute solutions
- Support business development and marketing initiatives as needed
- Achieve certification requirements to maintain partner status
Qualifications:
At least 5 years selling, architecting, implementing, and/or marketing compute solutions, including the following solutions areas and products:
- Expertise in x86 server platforms from Dell Technologies is required
- Expertise in x86 server platforms from Cisco, HPE, SuperMicro is desirable
- Acceleration technologies such as GPUs and/or FPGAs
- OS and virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows/Hyper-V, and Red Hat Linux/KVM
Working knowledge or expertise in converged infrastructure solutions, such as:
- FlexPod
- FlashStack
- VersaStack
- VxBlock
- ReadyStack
- HPE ConvergedSystem
Ability for overnight travel (20%) to various company/client events, company workshops, summits, etc.
