World Wide Technology, Inc. currently has an opportunity for a Senior Agile Coach to support the Internal IT Department in St. Louis, MO.

A Senior Enterprise Agile Coach must enjoy and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative culture. The successful candidate must have extensive experience within IT organizations working with and coaching leaders and teams of all levels of Agile experience and mindset, believe in changing mindsets over behaviors, and be more pragmatic than idealistic.

Key Responsibilities

  • A Senior Agile Coach will enable our organization by developing highly effective teams and facilitating the organizational culture change necessary for sustained success.
  • As part of the agile team, the Senior Agile Coach will bring strong consulting and facilitation skills to guide organization leaders through improving their agile mindset.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and strong time management skills.
  • As a Senior Agile Coach, you will also need an adaptive coaching style with the ability to work with teams at various levels and in locations around the world.
  • Breaks down complex information into understandable terminology and actionable concepts.
  • Build and support an enterprise Agile Center of Excellence (COE) with consistent training and coaching available to the whole organization.
  • Understand the software development lifecycle and how various agile engineering practices can be used (e.g., in planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing). Understands when to apply agile methodologies vs. traditional methodologies to achieve the best development outcome. Applies agile engineering practices (e.g., Extreme Programming techniques such as pair programming and test-driven development) in own projects.
  • Anticipates and recognizes bottlenecks in work processes between teams and makes suggestions for ongoing improvement. Leads implementation teams and ensures the successful execution of new ideas or approaches. Coordinates with the team to define the measures of success for process improvements.
  • Identifies the interrelatedness of work activities across teams and recommends improvements to processes to increase effectiveness. Secures the necessary resources or support from senior management to remove team barriers to implementing new ideas or approaches. Ensures process improvement initiatives focus on measurable results and helps teams establish measures of
  • Coordinates bringing together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues and contributes own suggestions. Thinks holistically to identify opportunities around policies/ processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries. Assists with a whole system approach to analyzing issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for.
  • Creates clear, concise, and organized communication materials (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages). Considers and understands the audience's specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language."
  • Utilizes resources to maximize performance and value-added; utilizes reports and tools to track operational efficiency. Identifies processes, activities, and tasks that do not add value; suggests improvements that impact the quality of products, services, and processes. Constantly works to improve own efficiency; double-checks the accuracy of the output of others to ensure high quality delivery.
  • Creates metrics to monitor performance across multiple teams and ensure efficient execution and effective delivery of work.

Qualifications

  • Inherent understanding and passion for WWT's Core Values
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in an IT organization
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Agile Coach, Delivery Manager, or Agile Consultant
  • Preferred experience working as an Agile Coach in a Scaled Agile environment
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or comparable degree/experience
  • Power user of an Agile management tool such as ServiceNow SPM, digital.ai, JIRA, or Rally
