Position Overview:
Security Principals lead the day-to-day delivery and growth of Solutions Consulting for large, complex organizations. They drive material business cases that generate significant, transformational work. This requires building strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, helping to shape their technology and business solutions, and bringing the best of WWT to address their most critical business issues. As a Security Principal, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in cybersecurity, guiding clients and internal teams in developing and implementing robust security solutions. You will drive innovation, oversee complex projects, and serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity practices and emerging threats.
As a Security Solutions Principal specializing in segmentation and zero trust, you will develop and implement client strategies focused on these security frameworks, design and integrate solutions, and manage the technical depth of related projects. You'll assess risks, provide tailored client recommendations, ensure compliance with best practices, and support incident response efforts. Additionally, you will deliver training on segmentation and zero trust principles and continuously refine security solutions to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Previous consulting experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement client security strategies focused on network segmentation and zero trust principles to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Develop and deploy security solutions that incorporate segmentation and zero trust frameworks, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
- Assess the current security environment to identify risks and vulnerabilities. Implement segmentation and zero trust measures to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific security needs, provide tailored recommendations, and guide them through the adoption of segmentation and zero trust practices.
- Ensure that security measures align with industry regulations and best practices. Advise clients on compliance requirements related to segmentation and zero trust.
- Support clients in responding to security incidents, leveraging segmentation and zero trust principles to investigate and remediate issues effectively.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in segmentation and zero trust technologies, continuously improving and refining security solutions to adapt to evolving threats.
Customer Delivery Functions:
- Understand customer needs and design solutions that solve for their needs-short and long term
- Evaluate and recommend security strategies for networks, systems, operations, cloud, people, process and technologies
- Through the application of industry standards and security best practices, develop and recommend plans to structure secure architectures
Solutioning Functions:
- Understand customer problems and develop new solutions that are most effective and differentiated from our competitors
- Be the primary technical lead in cybersecurity delivery engagements for a wide variety of clients in different industry verticals
- Develop, create and write and deliver documentation and technical artifacts in a professional matter that will be given to Clients and others in a professional manner
- Challenges the team to approach business and technical opportunities with a creative and innovative mindset
- Use a strategic approach to managing customer interactions and data throughout the customer journey with a goal of higher business growth through better customer experiences
- Build and maintain consultative relationship with strategic customers (VP/CxO level) and partners (OEMs)
- Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions
- Maintain a strong focus on trends and developments in the IT and security industries and leverage that input to influence development and investments into the practice
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred
- CISSP, CISM, CISA or compliance certifications desired
- 10-15 years' experience in:
- Zero-trust architecture, concepts, and solutioning
- Enterprise segmentation architecture, concepts, and solution options (including OEM technology offerings)
- Security consulting with example deliverables (or equivalent roles)
- Overall cyber security technical experience
- Networking expertise, including previous hands-on roles in supporting routers, switches, and firewalls
- Knowledge of current and upcoming security technologies and operations
- Working knowledge and consulting experience in at least five of the following areas:
- Zero Trust Architectures
- Enterprise Segmentation and associated technologies
- Operational Technologies and Environments
- Threat and Vulnerability Management
- Data Protection and Privacy
- Security Operations
- Identity and Access Management
- Network and Systems Security
- Ability to perform concurrent tasks in complex environments under adjusting priorities
- Ability to communicate and modify approach, language, and style to different audiences
- Professional writing style and experience with demonstrable technical and business-related artifacts is required
- Collaborative, with the ability to manage conflicting interests and deal with ambiguity.
- Effective communication skills: capable of supporting presentations to convey concepts and solutions, writing effective emails, and discussing strategy with senior executives.
- Strong teamwork qualities: able to gain the trust of customers and collaborate effectively within the WWT team.
- Intellectually curious with a desire to understand constantly evolving technology solutions.
- Proactive, collaborative, with emotional intelligence, and the capacity to learn and synthesize new information.
- Adaptable, with the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-directed, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
