What will you be doing?

World Wide Technology, Inc. has an opportunity available for a Regional Sales Manager to support our Public Sector SLED Midwest team. This position will be focused on managing a dedicated SLED sales team representing WWT's core capabilities (Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy).

Responsibilities:

  • Manages team of Client Managers/Executives (based in Midwest), who are responsible for positioning WWT's core capabilities (Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy) to the mission of government and education
  • Detailed understanding of the key vertical markets of government and education
    • Deep knowledge of critical government and education contracts essential for executing business relationships
    • Collaborates with field teams in the development of business strategies for targeted markets, including solution and partner focuses
  • Provide clear direction, situational coaching and mentoring to client managers and other team stakeholders for high performance and success with short and long-term objectives
  • Effectively and regularly communicates to senior management how you execute an annual plan including growth strategies that align to measurable goals and objectives and tracks progress accordingly with monthly forecasts, quarterly business reviews, and weekly activities
  • Steward of good business and fiscal management to maximize results while actively managing costs and impactful investments
  • Leverage the WWT Platform and our Advance Technology Center as a cornerstone to your market growth strategy
  • Recruit, develop and retain top talent using WWT Core Values and the Public Sector Sales mission and vision
  • Collaborate with other key functional stakeholders including Sales, Services, Legal and Contracts, Business Development, Sales Operations, Technical Architects and Consulting Systems Engineering to construct high performing teams focused on customer delight
  • Collaborate with business development for program pursuit and capture in key markets and verticals
  • Build and promote the WWT SLED brand and differentiation by effectively teaming with key OEM's and external partners to jointly focus on customer business outcomes
  • Help team solve conflicting priorities and make timely, effective decisions
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and drive results within team
  • Oversee the presales process and help drive effective communication between sales and engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 7+ years of sales and management experience within the SLED market delivering large scale IT solutions: Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategies focused on our key OEMs: Cisco, DELL EMC, NetApp, and VMware.
  • Proven experience in working and succeeding within a quota and commission structure and strong leadership experience required. Previous involvement with state and local Government budgets and procurement cycles - SLED experience is required.
  • Position is based in St. Louis, Missouri with the ability to travel to designated locations.
  • Experience managing and coaching a team of Account Managers with a proven track record working with leadership and driving business strategies within the SLED sector is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
  • Solid relationships with OEMs: Cisco, DELL EMC, VMware, NetApp and others.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
