Position Overview:
Security Principals lead the day-to-day delivery and growth of Solutions Consulting for large, complex organizations. They drive material business cases that generate significant, transformational work. This requires building strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, helping to shape their technology and business solutions, and bringing the best of WWT to address their most critical business issues. As a Security Principal, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in cybersecurity and operational technology, guiding clients and internal teams in developing and implementing robust security solutions. You will drive innovation, oversee complex projects, and serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity OT practices and emerging threats.
As a Security Solutions Principal specializing in operational technology, you will develop and implement client strategies for reducing risk to the customer critical infrastructure, design and integrate solutions, and manage the technical depth of related projects. You'll assess risks, provide tailored client recommendations, ensure compliance with best practices, and support incident response efforts. Additionally, you will deliver training on OT best practice principles and continuously refine security solutions to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Previous consulting experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thorough knowledge of the lifecycle, maintenance, and security of ICS, SCADA systems, and other OT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and efficiency of OT systems.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect OT assets.
- Develop and implement best practices for OT system configuration, monitoring, and optimization.
- Be the primary lead in cybersecurity delivery engagements for a wide variety of clients in different industry verticals
- Cybersecurity: Analyze security measures such as access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect OT assets.
- Compliance: Apply principles to ensure compliance with relevant regulations (NERC CIP, TSA), and standards (NIST, IEC 62443).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of OT architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Assess cybersecurity challenges within an environment, identify key strategic issues and advise on the best course of action
- Through the application of industry standards and security best practices, develop and recommend plans to structure secure architectures
- Understand the security interplay in the areas of application assurance, data classification, network security, and emerging OT trends and threats.
- Analyze and assess client facing security challenges, identify recommendations for solutions, and define a roadmap to implement such solutions successfully
- Develop, create and write and deliver documentation and technical artifacts in a professional matter that will be given to Clients and others in a professional manner
Qualifications:
Work Experience
- Measurable Experience in:
- Experience with OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and HMI.
- Proficiency in network protocols and communication technologies used in OT environments (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, OPC).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Consulting for security consulting firms with example deliverables
- Overall cyber security technical experience
- Datacenter administration, including design, implementation, and support
- Networking expertise, including hands-on roles in supporting routers, switches, and firewalls
- Preferred Experience:
- Zero-trust and enterprise segmentation
- Certifications such as CISSP, or ISA/IEC 62443.
- Firewall knowledge.
- Routing/switching.
- IDS (Forescout, Claroty, Dragos, etc)
- PLC and SCADA programming
- OT environments (design, troubleshooting, architectural knowledge)
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of current and upcoming security technologies and operations
- Working knowledge and consulting experience in the following areas:
- Risk Management and Assessments
- Policy, Governance and Compliance
- Threat and Vulnerability Management
- Security Tools Rationalization and Assessment
- Data Protection and Privacy
- Security Operations
- Identity and Access Management
- Zero Trust Architectures
- Network and Systems Security
- Cloud Security
- Operational Technologies and Environments
- Ability to perform concurrent tasks in complex environments under adjusting priorities
- Ability to communicate and modify approach, language, and style to different audiences
- Professional writing style and experience with demonstrable technical and business-related artifacts is required
