Job Summary:

ead and manage a team that supports all Global Transportation requirements based on exporting and importing WWT materials. Act as Subject Matter Expert for all modes of transport, including but not limited to Service, Mode, Incoterms and Compliance regulations by providing operational support and expertise to the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of the industry and its performance by remaining current on leading trends and interacting with industry stakeholders.
  • Serves as an expert on industry issues, including trends and challenges or concepts; provides guidance and expertise on unique situations.
  • Guides customers and key stakeholders on selection and application of industry products/services, enabling them with the proper tools, resources and knowledge for successful implementation.
  • Guides organization-wide resource utilization to maximize performance and value add; monitors the organization's operational efficiency.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to build organization-wide improvements to impact the quality of products, services and processes.
  • Establishes a culture that values high quality delivery of information; works to continuously improve the organization's level of operational excellence.
  • Reviews the operating strategy in the context of business goals and market dynamics to identify key process improvement opportunities within the business unit/function.
  • Holds managers and employees accountable for successfully implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Compares overall business performance before and after large and complex process improvements to analyze the impact.
  • Periodically reviews the effectiveness and efficiency of existing records management systems.
  • Develops policies and procedures for records management (e.g. what document/records should be kept and how long they should be retained).
  • Sets action plans for records management within own team and partners with the broader corporate team to ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Provides guidance and expertise to analyze data and patterns and assess the root cause of complex, non-routine problems.
  • Collaborates with others across disciplines to brainstorm and execute solutions to the most complex, uncommon problems.
  • Guides the execution of solutions for complex, non-routine issues; redirects solution implementation if desired results were not originally met.
  • Oversees team members to discuss current projects, workload and activities; prioritizes resources accordingly.
  • Improves workload management by supporting others in setting priorities and by postponing less relevant work.
  • Strategically focuses self and others on top priorities; effectively manages overlapping timelines and competing demands..
  • Persuades others by supporting ideas with logical arguments/data, recognizing what information to share and when to share it; builds support to resolve issues and achieve the most favorable outcome for the company.
  • Engages in discussion in more complex situations to help others arrange agreements and ensure maximum value and sustainability for all parties.
  • Uses understanding of the potential outcomes for both parties to create win-win solutions that identify alternatives to meet each party's needs.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in current laws, controls and regulatory requirements framework and structure.
  • Teaches others about legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. reporting mandates, compliance requirements) to ensure adherence.
  • Recommends internal controls necessary to properly mitigate complex legal and regulatory risks and resolve noncompliance issues.
  • Analyzes and applies the company's financial and management accounting policies, procedures and systems to complex or non-routine scenarios.
  • Shares knowledge of the accounting principles for multiple disciplines (e.g., GAAP, Cost Accounting, Tax Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing).
  • Ensures company adheres to regulatory requirements and financial accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, FASB, SEC).
  • Leads collaboration with key stakeholders and contributes subject matter expertise to develop unique solutions to complex issues.
  • Enables optimum organizational efficiency by taking a whole systems approach and thinking across boundaries to identify which polices/processes should be standardized and which should differ.
  • Provides guidance when evaluating the impacts of a solution to ensure linkages between structure, people, process and technology.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Logistics Management preferred Or
  • A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a related field required
  • 10+ plus years' experience with import/export trade compliance and logistics.
  • 5 years Supervisory experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Supply Chain & Logistics terminology and lingo.
  • Knowledge of and experience with regional customs regulations on exports, import experience. US Trade regulations experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with import/export documents and regulations supporting global business
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with different layers of the organization.
  • Experience with Global Trade Management systems. (Oracle GTM, Amber Road, etc.)
  • Proficient in web-based applications and MS Office
  • Experience and understanding of VAT regulations a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of other global import/export regulations a plus.
  • Qualified candidates must be interested in working within fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must be fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
  • Must possess an elevated level of integrity and professionalism, including in dealing with complex and sensitive matters
  • Broker's License is a plus.

Compensation/ Benefits

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $103,840 to $129,800 (salary and incentive). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
