Audio-Visual Engineer

Job Duties:

  • Pre-Sales:
  • Attend pre-sales client meetings and presentations with account representatives (as needed).
  • Identify client requirements: (technical requirements, client infrastructure, configuration, and requirements), technical design (including solution configurations and diagrams) and planning phases of the delivery cycle.
  • Successfully demonstrate products and 3rd Party Solutions in front of prospects.
  • Work with Sales to provide a response for technical RFI/RFP questions.
  • Maintain an in-depth level of technical and industry knowledge through ongoing training, seminars and certifications through ongoing training, seminars, and certifications.

  • Unified Communications Portfolio:
  • Provide ongoing support for conference room video and audio solutions, Webex Meetings and Event Center, digital signage, Logitech Tap room schedulers, and visitor check-in kiosks.
  • Conduct sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment.
  • Consult with WWT's Global Service Desk and Collaboration and Productivity teams to facilitate and provide consistent ongoing support of collaborative applications and conference rooms.
  • Respond in a timely manner to escalated end-user problems relating to voice and video hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Work closely with other teams in IT Infrastructure & Security to provide root cause analysis and resolve systemic end-user issues reaching multiple teams.
  • Perform individual and group training for our users on utilizing our enterprise voice and video offerings.
  • Consult with WWT's Collaboration and Productivity team to recommend and design solutions that align to business problems and industry trends to help our users remain connected and collaborative.
  • Coordinate with vendors to perform maintenance as needed on audio/video equipment.
  • Live Events:
  • SME level facilitation and execution of live events and large customer-facing meetings, providing for voice, video, and presentation needs in a variety of formats including auditoriums, warehouses, hotels, and virtually. Some weekend and evening support duties will be required.
  • Create and maintain IT documentation for AV processes.
  • Seek opportunities to improve and streamline AV processes.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years (Expert level) of experience supporting audio/visual and conference room equipment including:
  • Cisco Video conferencing units
  • Logitech Tap Schedulers
  • Digital Signage management using Appspace/ Brightsign players.
  • Multi-camera setup, configuration, and operation
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex A/V systems including Crestron, Biamp, and DM units.
  • Working knowledge of vendor products and technologies from Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, Cisco.
  • Logical problem-solving skills and knowledge of research techniques, methods, and procedures for rapid problem resolution.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • A committed desire to learn and grow in the Unified Communications practice.
  • Strong focus, passion, and desire to understand and exceed customer expectations and technology needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and creative thinking mindset with a focus on finding innovative solutions to user problems.
  • Able to perform at a high level in a stressful, fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to work with executives to provide the highest level of customer service, technical solutions, and troubleshooting.
