This position will be hybrid work from home and based out of the Cityzen Epicentro office located in Belen, Heredia Province.

Job Summary

Data Analytics Associate is responsible for collaboration with cross functional teams to support business stakeholders to develop data visualization and actionable solutions that enables data driven decision making. Self motivated individual that will assist in ensuring the Data Strategy and priorities for the key business stakeholders are fulfilled.

Essential Functions

  • Transform large sets of data into simplified, meaningful, and actionable trends and visualizations to support the business.
  • Analyze, design and develop dashboards and/or reports following best practices and guidelines
  • Present data to business users to help them make informed decisions
  • Work with technical data teams to test and validate data sources
  • Train end users on how to use dashboards and other reports that are created
  • Support business improvements through analytics
  • Establish relationships with business users with the Global Operations department and technical teams.
  • Be creative, curious and innovative with a drive to always be learning and improving
  • Provide ongoing support of reporting and analytic reports, needs and changes
  • Translate business questions into reporting/analytical requirements
  • Support key business stakeholders to design metrics to measure performance
  • Collaborate cross functionally across multiple levels of the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field required (a combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • A minimum of 4 years' progressive experience in a related field required
  • General familiarity with a Supply Chain Operation Model, is preferred
  • Basic ability to understand and manipulate data from a variety of sources
  • Basic ability to utilize analytical tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI or other analytical visual solutions

  • Confirms comprehension and understanding of complex information (e.g. legal, operational risk, and regulatory data) by correctly and clearly answering routine questions
  • Creates clear, concise and organized communication materials (e.g. policies and procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages)
  • Considers and understands the audience's specific needs and comprehension level to determine the most appropriate message and delivery method, limiting or explaining technical language
  • Gathers and organizes data, ensuring sufficient information is collected
  • Creates plans to use collected data that will increase efficiencies across the team
  • Uses advanced analytical models and tools to analyze and understand big data sets
  • Utilizes resources to complete tasks; tracks own efficiency using reports and tools
  • Distinguishes between activities and tasks that add differing levels of value; begins to determine potential improvements to impact quality
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset; double-checks accuracy of own output to ensure high quality delivery
  • Devises new methods and procedures for collecting data
  • Performs complex data analysis and presents findings on the underlying principles, reasons or fact
  • Consistently responds to stakeholder requests in an accurate, timely and professional manner
  • Seeks to have a good understanding of (internal and external) customers' needs, and begins to develop the skills necessary to help customers understand business challenges
  • Seeks to understand the organization's processes, objectives and challenges and their impact on the business
  • Collects information to understand problems and identify their origin
  • Researches precedents and known solutions for basic or routine problems
  • Implements prescribed steps and ensures effective resolution, escalating troubleshooting if needed
