The Role and What You'll Do:
The Harry Walker Agency, the World's Leading Speakers Agency, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team.
The Account Manager in our Speaker Relations department will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day management of Speaking engagements, serving as the liaison between Speaker's office and hosting organizations. The Account Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating all logistical and travel details associated with the execution of the Speaker's appearance leading up to and at the time of the event.
This person in this position must be detail oriented, a proactive problem solver, and be a collaborative team player. This role will be handling multiple accounts and will need to manage work flow from multiple channels. This person will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills, must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, have a calm and professional demeanor and be willing to travel as requested.

- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Speakers and their offices
- Coordinate across departments [ex: sales, business affairs, accounting and marketing] to ensure Speaker and Host satisfaction, clear understanding of expectations, as well as accurate and timely billing of all travel expenses
- Arrange and organize travel details for Speakers and staff coordinating with vendors, host organizations, and the Speakers' offices
- Prepare thorough pre-event briefing materials and itineraries for Speaker's offices
- Develop and follow project timelines from Speaker's acceptance of the engagement to event day, including all event related travel and logistics, marketing and promotions relating to the event
- Ensure Speakers are taken care of from the moment they leave home to the moment they return and that the events run smoothly for both the Speaker and the host's perspective
You Have These:
- A minimum of 3-5 years client-based servicing and/or events management experience. Specific disciplines could include event logistics, travel coordination, executive support for high level VIPs, and communications management.
- Superior client relationship/service skills.
- Ability to manage day-to-day relationships with clients, agency and vendors.
- Experience with on-site event operations and logistics.
- Experience with working with internal teams (accounting/business affairs) as well as other agency partners.
- Strong ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Ability to problem-solve independently and work collaboratively in groups.
- Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills.
- A positive, problem solving attitude and ability to respond to time-sensitive situations with ease.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
Hiring Range Minimum:
$60,406 annually
Hiring Range Maximum:
$75,000 annually
