Withum’s Tax Services Team is made up of a brilliant team of tax specialists that work to ensure tax reporting obligations are met in an accurate and timely manner and minimize or defer the payment of taxes. Their comprehensive understanding of international, US federal, state, and local regulations, counting our affiliation with HLB international, allows them to help develop economical tax strategies anywhere. Their services include Business Taxes, State & Local tax, International Tax, R&D Tax Credit, Private Client services.

As a Tax Supervisor based our of our Boston, Orlando, Los Angeles, San Francisco, NYC, Whippany, East Brunswick, or Red Bank office, you'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known tax industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of tax engagements, supervise/mentor staff, and build/maintain relationships with clients.

How you’ll spend your time:

• Communicating and working directly with high level client personnel, firm audit and tax managers, senior managers, directors and partners
• Being involved in all aspects of the financial services tax engagements, which includes hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, broker dealers and management companies
• Handling high level technical and compliance issues, tax policies, and procedures
• Providing financial services expertise involving tax research and application of specialize industry knowledge and accounting principles
• Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters
• Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities
• Training and supervision of staff accountants on financial service engagements

The kinds of people we want to talk to have many of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required
• Having a Master’s of Science in Taxation or a CPA license is a plus
• 4+ years prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, both independently and as part of a team
• Must have experience in the financial services industry

In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications. California ranges are from $105,000 - $165,000 annually
New York City ranges are from $90,000 - $130,000 annually
