Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Upstream Real-Time Drilling Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide real-time drilling support for the Wells & Drilling applications and analytics solutions, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime during drilling activities. The support engineer would be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to support the drilling operations around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time drilling support by monitoring and analyzing drilling data from various sources (various service providers).
  • Perform QC & ensure the data quality covering the three aspects: Data Integrity, Data Completeness and Data Reliability.
  • Analyze data to identify and highlight potential drilling issues.
  • Coordinate with 3 rd party vendors, field teams, and product vendors to ensure the highest level of data quality and minimal downtime for the applications.
  • Maintain communication with field personnel and provide guidance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain technical reports related to the drilling operations.
  • Good to have: Understanding around the compliance & regulatory requirements related to drilling operation and support the drilling team to develop drilling plan along with the analysis and interpretation of the geological data to ensure accurate wellbore placement.

  • Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations, with a focus on drilling.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling technologies and practices.
  • Experience with real-time drilling software, their operation and maintenance.
  • Proficiency with upstream data standards, their transmission, storage and interpretation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-call and extended hours as needed.
