Role: Technical Product Owner (Cards Domain)

Work Location: Atlanta, GA / Dallas, TX / Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid)

The Technical Product Owner position at Wipro in Cards and Payments team plays a critical role in achieving our banking customer digital transformation goals. This is a highly collaborative role, where the individual needs to work closely with a team of technical product owners as well partnering with Mainframe, API developers, Architects, and engineering leads to transform the experience for our customer. Through this collaboration, the individual needs to understand the technical aspects of full stack development and able to discuss with agile team of Mainframe and API developers.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and refines product backlog; creates user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritizes all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy.
  • Acts as primary liaison between the business and Agile teams, ensuring the teams understand vision for the products.
  • Works closely in a hands-on style with development team including addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real-time feedback and answering questions on an ongoing basis.
  • Slices and dices business requirements / epics into user stories in Jira tool for Mainframe, springboot API and streaming engineers.
  • Works with Product Management to set release dates, determine when sufficient value has been delivered to release to market.
  • Coordinates with technical teams to explain the technical requirement in full stack technology -Mainframe, Rest API and Kafka Streaming.

Required Qualifications:
  • Cards and Payment domain experience and understanding of Issuer bank card processing platform
    Product owner experience, ideally managing APIs as a product in a High paced environment, where requirement change management is a key.
  • Expertise in Agile product development
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to influence peers and executives, as well as external partners
  • Experience defining and leading the delivery of an API portfolio that is consumable by both internal and external parties.
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment.
  • Ability to listen to and understand business needs.
  • Familiar with Soap and Rest API Design, OpenAPI / Swagger, GraphQL, JSON and XML, knowledge of Spring framework, Mainframe and Kafka Streaming is a plus.
  • Familiar Security frameworks (e.g., JWT, OATH2) for APIs.
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins & Rancher is a plus.
  • Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools desirable
  • Hands on experience on Jira, Confluence and Mural board.
  • Standard industry certifications such as SAFe, CSPO, or PSPO are preferred
