Storage, Backup, & Monitoring, creation & management of Azure Virtual Machines (VM's)
Developing PowerShell scripts and ARM templates to automate the provisioning ad deployment process
Implementation/design of Azure IaaS like VNET, Express Route

DevOps Skills

Supposed to have familiarity with DevOps and Kubernetes.
Chef/puppet, Jenkins knowledge an added advantage
Experience with Infrastructure automation tools like terraform

Strong virtualization hands on technologies like Hyper-V and VMWare

Ability to understand and articulate the different functions in one or both (preferably) AWS/Azure and design appropriate solutions, HLD, LLD around it.

Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS/Azure, perform high level and low level design in one or both (preferably) AWS/Azure platforms

Capabilities to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Understanding the significance of the different metrics under the monitoring, their threshold values and should be able to take necessary corrective measures based on the thresholds.

Knowledge on automation to reduce the number of incidents or repetitive incidents are preferred.

Good understanding of the data center deployment design, how the components works together, understanding of the component level dependencies within and outside data center

Experience expected:

3+ year of experience in one or both (preferably) AWS/Azure based design (HLD and LLD) of the different components to meet the customer and business expectation in a cost effective manner
One or more years' experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS
8 or more years equivalent experience in the data center operation in any of the following areas
- OS administration ( either Windows or Linux/ Unix)
- Storage + backup management ( Enterprise level storages)
- Administration of the virtualization platform ( any one VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM)
- Network administration with good knowledge on at least one Operating system

Soft Skill

Strong communication and coordination skills with different teams within IT
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and customer service skills.
Good documentation skill
Able to define process improvements.
Need to demonstrate the ownership for the technical issues and engage the right stakeholders for timely resolution
