Software Developer
Key Skills
Spark, Hive, and other data processing engines running on YARN, python, YARN, Hadoop, and related big data technologies.
Location
Sunnyvale, CA , onsite 5 days a week
Experience
Role Description
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of YARN, Hadoop, and related big data technologies.
- Experience with Spark, Hive, and other data processing engines running on YARN.
- Proficient in resource management practices and familiarity with managing large-scale computing clusters. - - Programming Language : Python
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and convey them to varied audiences.
Community Focus:
- Experience in building and sustaining developer communities.
- Passion for helping developers succeed and a customer-focused mindset.
Collaborative Spirit:
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and marketing teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Developer Advocate role or similar capacity.
- Experience with containerization technologies and running applications in containerized environments.
- Knowledge of Uber's internal tools and processes, particularly those related to big data.

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $66,000 to $112,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
