The Epic Practice Director is responsible for the development and growth of the Epic consulting services practice. Travel is expected and required to fulfill the requirements of this role.

Specific Responsibilities:

The Director of EMR/EPIC Consulting Services for the Epic CoE is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of Epic implementation, optimization, and support services. This individual will oversee a team of consulting professionals and leaders, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that align with client needs and company objectives. The role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of healthcare IT, specifically Epic, who can drive business growth and maintain excellent client relationships.

CoE Leadership
  • Lead Center of Excellence Build efforts
  • Identify Specialist EMR Consulting firms with End to End Capabilities on EPIC, develop partnerships
  • Develop and execute the strategic plan for the Epic service line, aligning with the overall Healthcare Market Unit
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Epic solutions, industry trends, and best practices to ensure services are innovative and competitive
  • At least 1-2 full life cycle implementation of EPIC in a Payor / Provider ecosystem
Client Engagement:
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the service line meets or exceeds their expectations
  • Lead project planning, and execution for Epic-related services, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery
Team Management:
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of skilled Epic consultants, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop Custom CoE Training Plans aligned with Customer's objectives
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all services delivered adhere to our standards, regulatory requirements, and client agreements
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to maintain high service standards and continuous improvement
Market Development:
  • Work with colleagues, sales, and marketing to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the service line's market presence and revenue streams
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote the Epic service line, develop marketing materials, and participate in industry events and conferences
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
  • Extensive experience in healthcare IT consulting, with a strong focus on Epic systems
  • Strong understanding of key modules / solutions
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a consulting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage large-scale projects
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
  • Certification in Epic modules is highly desirable
