Candidate Requirements

The Business Analyst candidate is familiar with banking and payments and will ideally have commercial banking and treasury domain experience. The role requires a product focus with the ability to understand the current state, related customer experiences, and operations. The current efforts are dynamic and require a candidate who can prioritize the features and capabilities and be flexible. You will be working directly with team members at all levels assigned to one or more technology assets, focusing on architecting solutions that meet stakeholder requirements and quickly pivot to new requirements.

The BA candidate will be working directly with team members at all levels who are assigned to one or more projects, with an understanding of product/ solution design concepts such as personas, journey maps, wireframes, and service design blueprints. Further, the BA must understand how the system supports the client experience or business process, including data flows.

The BA candidate has experience gathering and translating business requirements to functional and non-function requirements to inform business and technology strategies. They have a broad knowledge of modern IT architecture and deployment (e.g., REST, databases, APIs, containers, workflows) and knowledge or experience with cloud PaaS and IaaS components and architecture solutions.

While not exhaustive, examples of products and services within scope include:

  • Commercial card feature expansion, focused on large corporations, focused on tokenization, virtualization, and analysis of business adjudicated cards.
  • Focus on payment products such as positive pay, ACH offerings, RTP, expanding wire cutoffs.
  • Automated client onboarding to improve client and customer experience.
  • Creation of small business treasury product bundles.

Finally, the candidate will need to be able to handle and navigate a vast set of stakeholders, groups, and vendors.

Responsibilities & Required Skills

  • Commercial Bank Experience in Treasury Management a plus (Commercial Card, Payments, New to Bank Customer Onboarding)
  • Proficient in business process mapping and mapping tools (current and future state, Visio)
  • Understanding of how systems enable business processes and customer experience.
  • Knowledge of industry risks and regulations/compliance/controls
  • Ability to formulate and define business requirements & use cases.
  • Ability to create collateral such as reference docs, user guides, etc., in support of the products and solutions. And work with Solution and Business Architects to create requirements documents and templates.
  • Experience working with Technical, QA and Business Teams in explaining the requirements and providing functional guidance/answers.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Process, including agile methodologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
