Role Mandate:

Elicitation and high-quality requirements analysis for each build to meet or exceed conformance to operational efficiency standards.
Ensure that changes proposed do no cause loss of revenue or negative customer impact.

Role accountabilities:

Planning & Development

  • Processing intake funnel items and support prioritization of request by providing clearly documenting Value statement (ROI, Regulatory, Security, Shaw Brand reputation, CX impact, Front Line impact, Prevent Loss of revenue)
  • Identify requirements and document deliverables (creating stories/JIRA Cards, BRDs, FRDs, Process Documentation/Maps) for initiatives.
  • Define acceptance criteria and review with stakeholders
  • Maintain a functional understanding of design and requirements
  • Support Business with shifting priorities due to competitive business landscape and participating in defining MVP
  • Participate in the development of Domain Road map and Solution evaluation for deliverables
  • Cross-domain contracts and user stories sign-offs
  • Review the test evidence artifacts

Domain Knowledge

  • Acquire knowledge in the business domain to ensure deliverables meet the business requirements and do not introduce new anomalies
  • Understand high-level business processes and priorities to support domain vendor partner deliver the high-quality work
  • Identify/Create/Modify any new, or adjust the current domain processes as required
  • Using domain knowledge, Leadership skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to negotiate creative solutions that follow the 80/20 rule (80% of value to come from 20% of the work)

Communication

  • Build and Maintain relationships with cross-domain (including Release teams) and business groups to ensure each party's requests/requirements are met and processes documented to ensure timely and proactive communication
  • Flag business issues/risks based on design and documentation of any deliverables/initiatives (with the assistance of Tech Leads/Architects)
  • Communicate expectations

People

Key Organizational Interface Points & Shared Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other BAs, tech leads, QA, and developers on documenting new/existing processes, requirements, issue identification, and resolution
  • Communicate changes/impacts to other teams
  • Understand BMA portfolio and how changes impact domain and BMA
  • Collaborate with teams on projects prioritized by the BMA portfolio
  • Work with other BAs, team leads, tech leads, QA, and developers to prioritize application changes
  • Sprint/Release planning
