NMS System Architect(Contract)

Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of solutions in the Network Management System (NMS) area within the mobility domain. This customer-facing role requires expertise in managing customer issues, providing technical guidance, and acting as a liaison between the Customer Support and R&D teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication, fast issue resolution, and continuous improvement of NMS functionalities in line with customer needs and business objectives.

Location and Work Mode:

  • Working hours 9 am - 5 pm
  • Hybrid module of work from Wrocław - 3 days from home and 2 days from the office.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Design and define the architecture of Network Management Systems within the mobility domain.
  • Ensure NMS solutions meet scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  • Align system architecture with evolving industry standards and company's strategic goals.
  • Act as the primary technical interface with customers to understand their requirements and address technical challenges.
  • Present and explain architectural solutions, ensuring customer needs are clearly reflected in the proposed designs.
  • Manage escalations related to system architecture and provide timely technical solutions.
  • Lead the diagnosis, prioritization, and resolution of complex technical issues that arise in customer environments.
  • Work closely with the Customer Support team to ensure accurate problem identification and timely resolution.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge bases to aid in issue resolution.
  • Act as a bridge between Customer Support and R&D teams, ensuring clear communication and feedback loops for continuous improvement and collaborate with the R&D team to convey customer feedback and ensure that new features or modifications meet customer expectations.
  • Participate in product development cycles to provide insights based on customer usage patterns and needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in customer issue management and architectural designs and propose enhancements to the NMS to ensure it remains competitive and meets evolving customer needs.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in system architecture, with a strong focus on Network Management Systems within the mobility domain.
  • Extensive experience working in customer-facing roles, ideally in the telecom or network equipment provider industries.
  • Solid understanding of mobility networks (e.g., 2G,3G,4G LTE, 5G ) and their management systems.
  • Programming language proficiency in Java/J2EE, Knowledge in NMS protocols (NBAPI, CORBA, SNMP etc). Experienced in ServiceMix, Web Services (SOAP and REST), Springboot, Microservices, Database (SQL). Knowledge of git/gerrit and Module Testing automation
  • Strong experience in issue management and problem-solving in complex technical environments.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially between Customer Support and R&D.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud-based NMS solutions is a plus.
  • English on at least B2 level.
