Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite 3days/week)

Job Description:

SQL Server DBA (Database Administrator) will be counted on as part of the technical service delivery team to successfully manage and support Microsoft SQL database systems for clients. Participate in 24 x7 on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed for supporting highly critical database environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Technical Support Issues (Managed Service)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail based on Request.
  • Experience with SQL Server version 2016 and higher.
  • Recovery, Troubleshooting and Performance tuning & Proactive database monitoring and maintenance.
  • Perform the installation of Database application software, patches, and services packs.
  • SQL Server Backup Recovery, Troubleshooting, Tunning, Administration, Scripting and Architecture & DB Migrations.
  • Support systems for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Configuration and Patching of Database Software.
  • Operational understanding of SSIS, SSRS, Power-BI Environment and SSIS job monitoring & Troubleshooting & T-SQL Effectively use monitoring tools.
  • Prior experience with Performance tuning ( ex: indexes, file groups, disk management for mdf,ldf,ndf files).
  • Work with application teams for database implementations & App Deployments , troubleshooting issue with Application.
  • Working experience & knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as AZURE Manage and maintain Azure SQL Database instances, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Good Acknowledge in PowerShell Scripting & Automated.
  • Be an individual contributor and team player.
  • Experience with ticket tools(ex: Jira, service now).

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from [$110,000] to [$130,000]. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
