Lead Administrator - L1

We are seeking a talented and experienced Team Lead, Database and Systems Administration to lead and manage our InterSystems database and OpenVMS operating system teams. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the architecture, design, implementation, and optimization of our infrastructure environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our infrastructure environments support our customer's growing business needs, delivering reliable services that drives insights and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage an infrastructure team of database and system engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Oversee the design, development, maintenance and support of database and system infrastructure, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define database and system requirements and implement solutions that support Wipro's strategic initiatives.
Ensure database and system infrastructure integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and enforce database and system infrastructure management policies, procedures, and best practices.
Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and deliver database and system infrastructure initiatives that align with business goals.
Contribute with the management of vendor relationships and assist with contracts related to database and system infrastructure technologies and services.
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of database and system infrastructure environments.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of experience with infrastructure database and system administrative support and management, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing infrastructure teams in fast-paced, complex environments.
Strong hands-on experience with database (e.g., InterSystems, etc.) and operating system technologies (e.g., OpenVMS, etc.).
Deep understanding of database and system modeling, architecture, and best practices for building scalable infrastructure solutions.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of performance tuning and optimization.
Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously within a large dynamic infrastructure environment.
Familiarity with healthcare industry governance, regulations, and compliance standards.
Familiarity with InterSystems database technologies is a plus.
Familiarity with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) OpenVMS technologies is a plus.
Familiarity with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) NonStop (Tandem) technologies is a plus.
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS), etc.) is a plus.
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification is a plus.

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $1,35,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
