Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

Do

  • VDI administration, including provisioning, migration, and users support during the Windows 11 program.
  • Handle deployment, troubleshooting, and automation development tasks to facilitate and streamline the Windows 11 migration process.
  • Fulfillment and operation activities for all infrastructure components supporting our desktop virtualization service across the HSBC group.
  • Skills / Experience
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in the Desktop Virtualization, with solid Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/NetScaler environment administration experience.
  • Knowledge of technical components of the VMWare Hypervisor, vCenter, Windows Servers 2016/2019, TCP/IP networking and VPN gateway.
  • Scripting and automation experiences, with proficiency in the use of PowerShell scripting and Jenkins.
  • Experience of associated technology areas: Microsoft Azure, Windows/Office, browsers, Java, security models and tooling, identity and access management tooling, Active Directory, MECM.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Agile delivery methods and tools to implement both tactical and strategic changes is a plus.
  • Interpersonal skills - demonstrate good judgement and a good level of communication. Ability to articulate complex technical issues concisely.
  • Work independently and under high pressure, including but not limited to meeting tight deadline, work in odd hours and holiday.
  • Experience working in large-scale multinational companies, experience of working as part of an Agile or Operation team is a plus.
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all the globe.
  • For the role in China, native speaking in Cantonese is required, Mandarin is a plus.
