Role & Responsibilities

• Experienced in large scale Production Support Server Environment

• Handling Data Center Operations with Business & Mission Critical applications

• Handling escalated incidents or high critical tickets

• Predicting Risk/Impact and Participating in Major Changes

• Reporting & Performance Dashboards with Capacity Planning

• Technical Team (5-10 members) & Vendor Management

• Technical Transition & Documentation skills (Onsite to Offshore)

• Design, Migration and upgradation of existing infrastructure

Experience (Essential)

Extensive knowledge on any of the patch management/deployment tools like SCCM, Jetpatch, Puppet, BigFix, System Frontier, etc.,

Good knowledge on MS WSUS deployment, configuration and patch management

• Implementation of the patches using Change Management procedures.

• Secure approvals and perform the patching on the servers as per the patching window provided by the client.

• Govern and monitor deployment of patches from the patch tool and notify respective stake holders upon completion.

• Special instructions to be followed by technical teams like reboot sequence or checking the application services in case it is provided by Application support teams.

• Goof knowledge to troubleshoot/remediate failed patches from the tool

• Track the patch compliance and provide weekly and monthly reports to stake holders

• Maintain consistent patch compliance levels of 99% and higher

• Take a role of SPOC for all patching and vulnerability management in Windows

Technical Skills (Core & Top-Up)

Windows & AD

• Working Knowledge on Windows & Active Directory Services.

• Knowledge on concepts - replication, Sites, KCC, etc.

• KMS Server knowledge

• Designing and deploying new Active Directory domain.

• Designing Group Policies and managing them.

• Implementing Microsoft DNS with integration to Active Directory.

• Planning and implementation of Disaster Recovery.

• Distributed File System (DFS) and should have worked on ADAM/LDAP.

• Troubleshooting inter-domain and inter-forest Trusts.

• Problem solving Capability in Nutanix Hyper Converged Infra

• Should be able to Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents Handle technical escalations

• Knowledge Microsoft Cluster administration is preferred & good hands on experience on Windows Platform with 2008/2012/2016/2019 operating systems.

• Knowledge on Automation

• Patch management, RCA analysis, Application installs and upgrades following procedures documented by application owners Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems

VMWare

• Administer VMware ESXVSphere infrastructure

• Virtual Machine management

• Managing and Troubleshooting ESX Servers

• P2V migrations using tools

• vSphere Capacity Planning & forecasting

• HA & DRS

• Virtual Network/Storage Architecture and Connectivity planning

• VSphere OS Performance tuning & management

• ESX/VSphere Hardware Upgrade, OS Upgrade

• Design & Implement Server Virtualization Solutions

• Strong Knowledge on troubleshooting skills on Windows server & VMware

• Strong Knowledge on VMware management tools

• Knowledge on Remote system administration

• Troubleshooting the incidents & problems reported on the servers

• To carry out the scheduled activities like Daily Checklists, Server reboot, Etc...

• Monitoring of logs and alerts

• H/W troubleshooting & Vendor coordination

• Firmware & BIOS upgrade

• Understanding of capacity planning, performance Monitoring and tuning.

• Hand-on knowledge on various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 etc.)

• Strong knowledge on Storage & Networking concepts

Patching:
