    Role Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Golang Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, the candidate will play a critical part in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, scalable, and resilient software solutions. Candiate will be working on the core platform, new product development, etc and collaborating closely with a talented team of engineers.In this role, candidate will start as an individual contributor, with the expectation of leading a team of 6-7 developers within timeframe of 6 months to a year.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Golang code.
    • Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.
    • Build and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant microservices architecture using Golang.
    • Implement RESTful APIs and gRPC services for seamless communication between services.
    • Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions on GCP, leveraging its various services and offerings.
    • Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications.
    • Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
    • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to deliver high-quality software.
    • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production and non-production environments.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Golang and cloud-native development.
    • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

    Qualifications:

    • 12+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Golang.
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using Golang.
    • Expert-level understanding of Golang, its syntax, data structures, and core libraries.
    • Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying distributed systems and microservices architectures.
    • Strong understanding of cloud-native principles and technologies.
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services (e.g., Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine).
    • Extensive experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies.
    • Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
    • Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and concepts.
    • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
    • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • 4+ years of experience in mentoring or leading a team of developers, including conducting code reviews, providing technical guidance, and facilitating team meetings.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
    • Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
    • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger).
    • Contributions to open-source projects.
    • Experience with database administration and performance tuning (relational and NoSQL databases).

    • Bachelor's Degree

    Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $88,000 to $158,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
