Role Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Vendor Relationship Manager to oversee the entire vendor lifecycle for a set of vendors, including governance, relationship management, and operational oversight within our claims function. The ideal candidate will work closely with business units to understand their requirements and ensure that vendors meet performance standards and service level agreements (SLAs). Experience in health insurance, healthcare revenue cycle management, claims, banking, or finance is preferred, with a strong preference for health insurance claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, from selection and onboarding to performance evaluation and offboarding.
  • Governance: Conduct monthly business reviews, ensure SLA adherence, and manage vendor compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related issues.
  • Operational Oversight: Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and ensure vendors deliver high-quality services and products.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and assess vendor performance, implementing improvement plans when necessary.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any vendor-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance and governance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in health insurance, healthcare revenue cycle management, claims, banking, or finance (preference for health insurance claims).
  • Experience with vendor management software.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends.
