Overview:
This position will be instrumental in coordinating and driving all aspects of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) across all Wipro locations in India.
- Develop and implement water neutrality program at all our locations.
- Responsible for Operation and maintenance of environmental facilities such as WTP, STP etc
- Design, implementing and updating EHS system and procedures at all the locations of the region to enhance safety culture amongst employees.
- Person will also be responsible to comply and maintain all legal and statutory requirement applicable to EHS
- Reviewing the plan for internal/external compliance Audits and monitoring the effectiveness of the same and timely closure of observations.
- Effective implementation and continual improvement of ISO standards along with BBS activities.
- Develop, review, monitor and ensure Emergency response systems are in a state of readiness across all locations.
- Implement effective waste management programs for the facilities.
- Assist and advice on matters related reporting and investigation of incidents to facilitate preventive and remedial measures.
- Active contribution in HAZOP, Risk analysis and new projects start up.
- Create policy for crisis and disaster management by defining parameters and ensuring stringent training of all ERT teams across all locations with all-time readiness.
- Respond to emergencies to prevent any loss to life & property and ensure speedy business continuity and foresight Identify key risks and action plan for mitigation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) OR Lead auditor in ISO 14001 AND ISO 45001.
- 15+ years in EHS with experience in a leadership role, ideally in a multi-site operation.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing EHS strategies and programs.
- Experience with EHS audits, training, incident investigation, and emergency preparedness.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and team management skills.
- Budget management experience.
- Good communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage teams spread across India and delivery the standard outcome
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skill
Working conditions
Candidate will be based out of Bangalore location and willing to travel in case of job requirement.
