DevOps Developer Job Description

Responsibility:

Working in an application platform deployment team to implement major Cloud Infrastructure tools along with few 3rd party tools to ingest, process, store and report the data.? Should have expert hands on knowledge on build and deployment lifecycle of cloud native applications. Ensure to fix compliance with security / violations and operational risk standards and troubleshooting of network issues.? Strong Build and Operational knowledge, with DevOps continues integration (CI) Continuous delivery (CD) and automation.?

• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Implementing Automation to improve coding efficiency.
• Have a deep technical knowledge of two or more technologies.
• Have experience delivering software/ technology projects leveraging Agile methodologies.
• Have personally made valuable contributions to products, solutions and teams and can articulate the value to customers.
• Have played a lead role in the delivery of critical business applications and, ideally, customer-facing applications.
• Have the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-experts with eloquence and confidence.
• Have an awareness and understanding of new technologies being used in finance and other industries and loves to experiment.

• Expert in the Software Development Lifecycle with both a Dev and Ops mindset.
• Hands-on development experience in at least one object-orientated language, e.g., Java/C#, JavaScript, Golang.
• Deep understanding of containerisation and awareness of container orchestration concepts, including hands-on Docker experience.
• Proven experience using GCP with a strong understanding of networking and security.
• Great appreciation of DevOps and Infrastructure as a Code concept and techniques, including Terraform.
• Hands-on experience of using scripting with Python, Groovy to build CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins.
• Driven the implementation of DevOps solutions within a project or organisation, ensuring compliance with organisation standards and best practice.
• Understanding of application and system monitoring tools with experience of auto-healing, autoscaling and predictive monitoring
• Experienced in Automation and Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet and Helm.
• TDD or BDD understanding and how to enable and orchestrate the different types of tests required by the quality phase.
• Experience/understanding of Kubernetes, Istio and knowledge of related tools (Kiali, Fortio etc.).
• Experience in API development e.g. Mulesoft
• Knowledge of any third party tools: Tableau, Qlik Sense, Alteryx ( any visualization or analytics tools
• Must have solid PowerShell Scripting or any Scripting language.

• Experience migrating on-premises solutions to a cloud ecosystem (preferably GCP).
• Experience working defining CI/CD pipelines within Data Technology.
• Experience working in a large global team.
