Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support multiple projects in chemistry and microbiology labs across our R&D and Manufacturing plants. The role will focus on bridging business needs with IT solutions, ensuring optimal performance and compliance of lab operations.

Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or related discipline in life science (chemistry, biology).

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with lab teams to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
• Support and participate in the design, implementation, and validation of IT systems in labs (e.g., LIMS, ELN, CDS).
• Drive process improvements and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including GxP standards.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technical teams.

Candidate Profile
• Experience: Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in lab environments, preferably within R&D or Manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex business needs into IT solutions.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with lab systems and workflows, with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability: Able to engage on an external/contractual basis, with flexibility to work across sites or remotely as required.

Specific Knowledge
• Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and instrument software.
• Deep Understanding of Industrial activity in Life science and GXP procedure.
• Experience using Jira Software for demand and project management.
• Agile & Scrum certifications will be a plus.
• Languages: Spanish and English proficiency.
• Technical & Functional skills in the assigned Business area.

Additional Information
• Project Scope: Supporting multiple projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process optimization.
• Duration: A couple of years (100% dedication), but with the possibility to extend it or to internalize the position.
• Location: Barcelona (GCC site).
