Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic direction and guidance on maintaining the financial health and stability of the sector/ country. Partner with sector/ country leadership and provide inputs in the revenue and profitability growth of the sector/ country and ensure the achievement of key business metrics.
Do
1. Maintain financial health and viability of the sector/ country
- Maintain financial health of sector/ country
- Oversee the sector/ country performance on key financial metrics to ensure financial stability and continuity of the sector/ country
- Partner with sector/ country leadership on devising a business strategy in line with overall corporate strategy
- Participate and contribute to the review of businesses and verticals within the sector/ country and plan for financial implications in line with business requirements
- Highlight financial concerns and collaborate with business leaders in addressing the same

- Provide strategic and operational inputs on the financial aspects of sector/ country operations like target setting, forecasting of revenue growth, profit margins, acquisition of strategic clients, pricing and contracting with new clients, mergers and acquisition
- Work with the sector/ country leadership on addressing the key business concerns of the sector/ country like resource deployment, outstanding payments, financial performance, incentive calculations and deal pricing
2. Oversee financial operations for the sector/ country
- Demonstrate leadership in managing the financial operations
- Interpret the financial mis reports for the sector/ country and guide the corrective actions to be taken
- Drive adherence to financial process by the team aligned with different verticals within the sector/ country
- Ensure timely inputs are provided to the central team on invoicing, collections, pricing, contract review, incentive calculations and variance review
- Oversee and drive the monthly closure of books of accounts in a accurate manner for all verticals within the sector/ country.
3. New business development
- Provide strategic inputs on pricing and contracting
- Partner with pre-sales and sector/ country leadership in securing new contracts / businesses for the sector/ country
- Provide inputs relating to pricing, contracting and negotiation of the deal without compromising the margins of wipro
- Work closely with the central pricing team to devise innovative payment milestones in a manner that mitigates the risk of over exposure to a client
- Provide accurate and timely forecast of revenue\
- Drive adherence to the financial forecasting processes in the team to provide accurate forecast of revenue and profit margins
- Examine the reasons for deviation in actual and forecast and work closely with business leaders to take corrective action

- Clearly define the expectations for the team
- Assign goals for the team, conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to own direct reports
- Guide the team members in acquiring relevant knowledge and develop their professional competence
- Educate and build awareness in the team in wipro guidelines on revenue recognition, pricing strategy, contract terms and msa
- Ensure that the performance nxt is followed for the entire team
- Employee satisfaction and engagement
- Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
- Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
