Role overview

  • As a senior M365 technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization for Microsoft 365 products and services.
  • You will also be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining M365 solutions for our internal customers/users, ensuring that they meet the business needs and comply with the security and compliance standards.
  • You will be expected to have a deep knowledge of M365 technologies, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune, and Power Platform, as well as the ability to manage and monitor them using various tools and methods.
  • You will also be required to have strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • In addition, you will have solution architect's skills, such as solution design, documentation, planning, organizing, and reporting on the progress and outcomes of the M365 projects you are involved in.

Key duties

  • Provide technical support and guidance to our internal customers/users, resolving complex issues and escalating them when necessary.
  • Design, implement, and maintain M365 solutions for various our internal customers/users, ensuring that they meet the business requirements and follow the best practices and standards.
  • Optimize and enhance the performance, security, and reliability of M365 solutions, using various tools and methods, such as admin centres, Microsoft provided tools, Azure Automation, PowerShell, Graph API and others.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in M365 technologies and provide recommendations and suggestions for improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other teams, stakeholders, and vendors, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and oversee the M365 projects you are involved in, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality.
  • Plan, organize, and report on the scope, schedule, resources, risks, and issues of the M365 projects you are involved in.

Skills and qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience in working with M365 technologies, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune including hybrid scenarios with these technologies. Knowledge- and experience of Co-Pilot is meritorious.
  • Certification in Microsoft 365 products such as Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate (or proven work experience in the services).
  • Proficient in PowerShell, Graph API, and other scripting and automation tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of M365 security and compliance features and standards, such as products within Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview including for example Information Protection.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Leading skills, such as leading teams, planning, organizing, and reporting.
