The Wind River Partner Ecosystem Team is looking for an experienced professional to join us as a Global Partner Go to Market TAM (Technical Account Manager).

 

The solutions you will support address end customers’ complex challenges of deploying and managing a physically distributed, on premise cloud native infrastructure used in from regional data centers to the far edge of the network.

The ideal candidate for this role combines the understanding of the technical requirements of customers across vertical markets for on premise cloud and of the Wind River Studio offering.   The candidate would also be effective at driving key initiatives and projects with written plans and effective team orchestration.   Also, the candidate must have customer facing experience with the ability to establish “trusted consultant” status with key stakeholders.

 

You will be embedded in one of Wind River’s most important partners and work with them to make our joint offering a success globally. Applications span edge, IT and telco cloud. In this role, you will develop relationships with your partner’s key technical stakeholders, understand their product architecture and solution and how it interacts with Wind River’s products, share best practices, provide technical and architectural guidance, manage technical requests and drive resolution of technical issues between operators and Wind River Product Management, Engineering and field teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with your business partner, and the Wind River partner manager, to grow Wind River’s business at your assigned partner.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in product line management, telco engineering, sales, enablement and R&D team to co-innovate with partners.
  • Work closely with your partner to develop and lifecycle innovative solutions that deliver compelling solutions to the market.
  • Develop relationships with key technical stakeholders to understand the partner’s objectives, top business and technical goals and priorities.
  • Manage and document technical aspects of partner designs with Wind River.
  • Provide advice and guidance about current and future Wind River products.
  • Perform technical reviews to inform partners of roadmap and technology changes and potential impacts to their designs in conjunction with other Wind River cross-functional teams.
  • Help your partner increase the profitability of their solutions by assisting with automation, management, delivery tools, and AI capabilities.
  • Collect requests & technical issues from your partner and collaborate & drive to resolution with wind river product management, engineering and support teams.
  • Provide regular updates to Wind River leadership teams.
  • Build a sense of trust with your partner and serve as their technical advocate within Wind River.
  • Collaborate with Wind River partner teams and support their partner pursuits.
  • Assist with joint technical responses to RFI’s & RFPs working collaboratively with sales engineering.
  • Travel, as necessary, to visit partner teams, aid with end customer presentations, and attend events.
  • Coordinate with other technical teams (e.g. support, SE, R&D, PLM) to drive solutions for partner issues.
  • Plan and drive pre- and post-sales technical initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

  • You thrive in a customer and partner-facing position and are comfortable with them creating and delivering presentations and issue resolution.
  • You enjoy working on leading edge technologies and projects.
  • You have strong expertise in virtualization, OpenStack, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies.
  • You bring experience in open-source projects such as Debian Linux, Ansible, OpenStack, StarlingX, Git and Markdown.
  • You have working/functional knowledge of network stacks, switching, routing, etc.
  • You have knowledge of wireless/cellular telecom, and 5G edge deployments.
  • Your experience is in network system-level solution design.
  • You have had exposure to telco cloud concepts, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Orchestration, ORAN and ETSI-MANO.
  • You have Linux background covering deployment, image build, application, and administration.
  • You are adept at various programming languages: Python scripting languages like Ansible, Perl, etc.
  • You can quickly comprehend enterprise architecture and strategic business drivers.
  • You can work on a team and independently on multiple high priority projects.
  • You should be willing to work in an ambiguous environment and willing to self-learn.
  • You have strong English verbal and written communications skills and are able to articulate past project details and outcomes. Additional languages are a plus.
  • And you bring strong organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.
