About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Education Content Developer/Technical Instructor with deep expertise in VMware virtualization technologies to join our Customer Education team. This role will focus initially on creating high-quality training materials for Wind River Studio Operator, a product suite currently used by telecommunications providers that is now being adopted by enterprise customers, some of whom will be transitioning from VMware infrastructure. We are seeking a candidate that can both develop the materials and also teach classes.
The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with teaching and instructional design expertise to develop and deliver comprehensive learning solutions that effectively communicate complex concepts to various audience levels.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Design and develop instructor-led and e-Learning training materials using tools like PowerPoint and Articulate 360, primarily for customers transitioning from VMware environments to Wind River Cloud Platform and the rest of the Studio Operator suite.
- Collaborate with Wind River subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and relevancy of educational content
- Develop technical labs, hands-on exercises, and assessments such as certification exams that reinforce learning objectives
- Maintain existing training materials, ensuring they remain current with product updates
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to optimize knowledge transfer
- Participate in the testing and quality assurance of training materials prior to release
- Deliver instructor-led training classes on these materials for Wind River customers
Experience/ Competencies
Required
- 3+ years of experience in a content development role with both instructor-led and e-Learning expertise, and experience with tools such as Articulate Rise, XML-based authoring tools, Camtasia, and others.
- Experience designing student assessments and certifications.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills including the ability to present advanced technical concepts.
- 3+ years of experience as a technical instructor
- Deep knowledge (3+ years) of VMware virtualization technologies and infrastructure
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts Preferred
- Experience as a content developer and/or technical instructor delivering VMware-related courses
- Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and operations
- Familiarity with Wind River products or similar embedded software solutions
- Experience with VMware Orchestrator
- Experience with infrastructure migration projects (VMware to/from other platforms)
- VMware certifications (VCP strongly recommended, VCAP preferred)
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, etc.)

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is $137,000 to $180,000 plus a bonus for Colorado, New York, and New Jersey residents, and $149,000 to $195,000 plus a bonus for SF Bay Area, Greater Seattle, NYC, and Washington, DC, residents. Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. Employees in this role are also eligible for the following benefits in accordance with the terms of the Company's plans: health, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, flex time off, eligibility to enroll in 401k, and 12 paid holidays.
