About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to fill aTechnology Director - Cloud Controls & Governance role.
This role will lead risk planning and enablement foundation for Application and Cloud Transformation (ACT) team. This leader will work closely with the Head of ACT, Information & Cyber Security (ICS), Technology Controls, Governance, and front line to define and drive control enablement for Cloud platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Lead clear mapping and traceability of policies, standards, procedures to controls, control framework and drive accelerated, safe, secure enablement of Cloud platform and services.

- Manage and develop Cloud Risk Planning and Enablement function with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes.
- Partner with Information & Cyber Security (ICS), Technology Controls, Governance, and front line to drive consensus on controls, governance needed to enable Cloud platform and services.
- Lead Risk Planning for Cloud products including Audits, RCSA and Regulatory updates.
- Identify Cloud Risk Planning and Enablement opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development over the long-term to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency.
- Lead ACT Cloud Risk Planning and Enablement team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
- Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives.
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
- 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 8+ years of technology cloud controls and governance experience
- 5+ years of significant experience leading complex technology initiatives in a large and dynamic segment of a financial services organization.
- 5+ years of strong risk management leadership skills demonstrated through leading or participating in product audits conducted by internal and external auditors.
- 4+ years of Management experience
- Experience in leading, managing cloud risk for private (on-prem data centers) and public cloud platforms like Azure or GCP
- Experience leading a team of individuals that work with product and engineering teams to enable automated controls.
- Experience in collaborating and partnering with other key parts of the organization and drive towards shared goals and success.
- Measurement of preventive, detective, and automated cloud controls
- Experience proactively preparing and responding to Audits, OCC exams and regulatory updates.
- Demonstrable experience anticipating and addressing regulatory requirements and relationship.
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership.
- Ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
- Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs.
- Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a high performing team of leaders, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement and satisfaction.
- Deep knowledge and experience with financial, operational, technical, and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global organization.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussion to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead.
- Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results-oriented leadership style.
- Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader and subject matter expert.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
