About this Role

Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Technology Group is hiring Systems Operations Engineer to provide development, administration, configuration, testing, infrastructure support, and functional workflow support.

As a Systems Operations Engineer specializing in core technology modernization, your role will involve integrations with a vendor SaaS solution and rigorous technical testing and automation. Components will continue to evolve as integrations are developed. Currently include the integration with core System of Record applications such as Hogan and other Rates and Product Catalog applications, middleware, and channels.

Responsible for application releases through the whole software development lifecycle including designing, coding, functional testing, performance testing, security testing and post deployment support for complex applications and initiatives. Work on key initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams and professionals including Requirements Analysts, Product and Operations Partners, System Analysts, Architects and Principle Engineers during development and maintenance

In this role you will:
  • Work within scrum teams in end to end development, testing, and integration with SaaS vendor and application partners
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Identify and develop automation for repetitive tasks
  • Actively partner within the team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Execute incident, problem, change, and release management across a wide range of applications and technologies
  • Identify gaps and single points of failure in current technology process or design
  • Create, update, and maintain all aspects of application specific troubleshooting documentation and runbooks along with training/knowledge transfer to other team members
  • Ensure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for supported area
  • Execute daily maintenance tasks and proactive review of the production environment
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Strong in communication; oral, listening and writing skills. Able to communicate ideas/views clearly
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Understanding of SDLC, application life cycle management, Incident & problem management
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Mainframe Systems - previous experience in managing and troubleshooting mainframe environments, including familiarity with testing, and applications. Hogan experience a plus
  • Integration and API Development Skills - demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain integrations between systems, and any hands on experience building and managing API's
  • Experience with integrating Java applications with other systems
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$30.58 - $54.33
