About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant for one of the biggest lines of business in the company.
In this role, you will:
- Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
- Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
- Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
- Lead or participate on large cross group projects
- Mentor less experienced staff
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area

- 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in Analytics, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Candidate must be a graduate of a B.A./B.S. course in college (preferably in Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Sciences)
- 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling using SAS & SQL
- Experience on data analysis, reports and has programming skills in SAS and SQL
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective leadership ability to drive successful execution of strategic plans; ability to plan, prioritize and set goals
- Analytical and must possess strong collaborative skills
- Preferably with experience and background in banking and/or financial services.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Incumbent will be working on-site
- Incumbent will be working with different stakeholders to understand business needs and specific risks to be managed to deliver the appropriate monitoring solution within agreed timeline
- Incumbent should be able to understand business processes and relevant business rules and translate them to SAS codes to create the monitoring solution
- Incumbent should be able to understand database concepts to effectively identify data sources and extract needed data from said sources
- Incumbent must be able to use different statistical methods to create metrics that will be used for monitoring specific risk events
- Incumbent must be able to translate and communicate technical terms and concepts to non-technical audience
- Incumbent must be able to present the results of his/her work to various forums
- The incumbent is expected to provide quality resolutions to issues in a timely manner
- The incumbent is expected to foster a safe working environment for everyone
