About this role:

Enterprise Function Technology (EFT) is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to provide leadership for an application delivery team supporting Finance Technology. This Manager will lead a high-performing software engineering team and will be responsible for overseeing the development of software solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic business and product objectives. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and product management capabilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance, conduct performance reviews, and support career development.
  • Project Oversight: Lead the planning, design, and implementation of software projects. Ensure the projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
  • Technical Strategy: Develop and execute the technical roadmap, aligning software development efforts with the company's strategic goals. Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance product offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, architects, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful integration of software solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce best practices for software development, including code quality, testing, and deployment processes. Ensure that software products meet or exceeds quality and performance standards.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation and manage project priorities to balance workloads and optimize team productivity.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation within the engineering team.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the successful delivery of software projects.
Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Java experience
  • 4+ years of Oracle experience
  • 2+ years of Netapps S3 experience or similar technology
  • 2+ years of Angular experience or similar technology
  • 2+ years of Power BI experience
  • Experience with Dremio or other similar technologies
  • Thorough knowledge of Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Microsoft Azure Cloud or other similar cloud technologies
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of managing software engineering teams and delivering complex software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Experience with modern software development tools and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical innovation and lead teams through technical challenges.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree
