Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to support the Enterprise Collateral Management team with the monthly loan pledge process. We are looking for a self-motivated person who learns quickly and enjoys taking on challenges. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, prioritize multiple tasks, and communicate effectively is crucial.

Treasury at Wells Fargo is a dynamic team responsible for managing Wells Fargo's balance sheet including capital, liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk management. Treasury seeks to ensure Wells Fargo always maintains sufficient capital and liquidity resources to support growth in the Company's businesses, while also ensuring a satisfactory financial cushion exists to protect against unforeseen stresses in the economic environment or the Company's operations. Treasury also provides regulators, senior leaders, and the Board of Directors with key information to support risk management, financial performance management, and strategic planning.

The Global Funding and Collateral Management team is part of Corporate Treasury within Wells Fargo Enterprise Finance and is charged with managing the firm's wholesale funding and collateral management strategy. The Loan Pledging and Securitization team is responsible for providing the bank with sources of funding on an ongoing and contingent basis. Funding sources come from pledging domestic commercial and consumer loans as collateral for borrowings and pledging or selling domestic consumer loans for the issuance of debt securities through securitization activities. Pledging to the Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBs) and the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) establishes lines of credit to create funding sources for Wells Fargo Bank. Issuing debt securities creates liquidity for Wells Fargo Bank N.A. Other responsibilities include ensuring loans used as collateral meet the legal requirements and eligibility criteria. This team also provides internal reports and data that is utilized in downstream Financial and Regulatory reporting associated with loan pledge activities.

In this role, you will:
  • Work with team of multi-level experienced professionals to execute on monthly processes necessary to pledge loans to the Federal Home Loan Banks and the Federal Reserve Bank Discount Window
  • Work with lines of business to ensure pledging eligibility guidelines are met
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Interact with IT and business partners to support application development, data sourcing and conversion activities
  • Research and resolve data anomalies in Production and in User Acceptance Testing
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and Corporate Risk Management teams as well as outside parties including regulatory agencies and Federal Home Loan Banks
  • Interpret internal and external policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve or escalate issues and achieve loan pledge related goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and operate in a complex and matrixed environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and technology partners
  • MSP, Loan IQ or AFS experience
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
