About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced individual who can provide platform support for Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization and the applications and infrastructure they support. The individual will provide technology solutions to the LOBs and manage the applications portfolio in terms of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and cost.

This is a critical position within CCIBT Platform Management. It supports setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Commercial Capital systems. This role will provide support to internal and external applications, provide day to day support to the business users, monitor systems, perform technical refresh activities, application migration and BCP activities.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
  • Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
  • Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
  • Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
  • Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Candidate will be working on build and support of High-Performance Computing systems and distributed computing data grids.
  • Candidate will work with diverse business functions and development team across multiple line of businesses.
  • Candidate will get opportunity to understand functioning of current trading and risk systems and get involved in building and supporting caching/computing platform for these systems
  • Candidate will have to understand systems and application code to troubleshoot and provide guidance to app dev teams.
  • Consult with internal business groups to provide application software development services or technical support.
  • Provide comprehensive technical consulting to junior technical staff.
  • Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using standard development methodology.
  • Implement solutions with the organization's technology standards.
  • Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.
  • Guide and consult with IT management and technical staff regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services.
  • Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of modern technologies.
  • Advocate for innovative, creative technology solutions.
  • Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
  • The candidate will be expected to solve software, and infrastructure problems in relation to complex trading processes.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience with using container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or Swarm for cloud deployment
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD automation using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • 3+ years of experience with systems health and performance monitoring tools such as App Dynamics, Dynatrace and Splunk
  • 3+ years of experience with application development and deployment
  • 3+ years of experience providing production support in a 24/7 environment
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of Red Hat Linux or UNIX support experience
  • 3+ years of Share Point site development
  • 2+ years of relational database experience
  • 3+ years of Grid computing platform experience (IBM Spectrum Symphony or Tibco Grid Server)
  • Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support.
  • Familiarity with at least one managed Kubernetes platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE)
  • Knowledge and hands-on with application observability tools (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology platform development including large scale technology in a capital markets environment
  • Hands on experience capturing functional and non-functional requirements, grid/caching data flow issue troubleshooting
  • Experience using data analysis skills using SAR, PerfMon, Tcpdump, SAR etc. to analyze and correct performance issues.
  • Experience with process automation using Linux or Windows scripting, Share Point flows.
  • Documentation tools experience like Visio, MS Word, Confluence, Excel, Splunk etc.
  • Experience communicating and providing clarity on requirements to Tech Team.
  • Ability to discuss and educate Quality Assurance and Production Support teams.

  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends, holidays and on call
