About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for an exciting opportunity with the Customer Information Management (CIM) team in Consumer Technology. This Senior Software Engineer (Java/Web Services/Microservices development) will be involved in designing, developing, implementing and supporting Java/ /Spring /SOAP/SpringBoot/RESTful based business services and microservices. This position will be part of the Customer Information Management (CIM) team working on several critical middleware applications like Enterprise Customer Profiling & Referrals (ECPR), ECS-Customer Microservices (CUST), and Customer Information Management Approved Data Source (CIMADS) to name a few. As a senior software engineer, this position will gain a strong understanding of the systems, the end-to-end work flow, the technical architecture and the overall business functionality. This position will partner with application leads/business experts/platform support leads to design/develop business services as microservices. This position requires hands-on experience in coding, debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning Java applications (Web Services - SOAP/RESTful based interfaces, Microservices, Spring/Spring Boot framework).

In this role, you will:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Java Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services development experience
  • 1+ years of Agile experience
Desired qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in application automation and integration
  • 2+ years of experience working with JDBC
  • 2+ years of experience working with relational databases
  • 2+ years of experience working with JMS (Java Message Service)
  • 2+ years of experience working with Spring and SpringBoot
  • 1+ years of experience working with Linux
  • 1+ years of experience working with cloud deployments (Tanzu, Azure)
  • 1+ years of experience working with MongoDB
  • 1+ years of experience working with Apache Spark
  • Prior Wells Fargo work experience is strongly desired
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
