About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group. EFT provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This Senior Software Engineer will help drive solution design and implementation of Credit Risk strategic modernization efforts for the centralized, cloud-ready UI portal. This position will play a critical role in the ongoing 2024 efforts and in 2025 as part of the evolution of this new modern UI portal.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of strong programming in either Java, Java Sprint Boot, Angular, C#
  • 2+ years of experience with core cloud application development
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in database technologies like MongoDB, SQL Server, with emphasis on ETL Procedure, SQL Query/Store Procedures, Data Modeling, Business Objects
  • Experience in development in the cloud environment and basic architecture best practices
  • Experience developing web services such as Java Sprint Boot, etc.
  • Experience with object-oriented design, software patterns, and refactoring
  • Experience writing unit and integration test cases
  • Experience with microservice architecture building independently deployable, small, modular services
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of relational database design and implementation
  • Ability to refactor existing code to improve the system performance and ease of system maintenance
  • Experience building integrations between independent systems, services and data sources
  • Experience with Agile and/or Team Foundation Server, Confluence, Jira is a plus
