  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • 4+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:

A person in this role will be expected to understand complex fiduciary concepts and principles and apply those concepts and principles to complete the daily BAU at a targeted level of accuracy and timeliness. Completing daily BAU will includes - reviewing the transfer instructions and initiating the assets and cash transfers accordingly and monitoring the settlement. Along with this, the candidate is also responsible to handle the Account Closure process.

This process demands 100% accuracy, and it is highly time-sensitive in nature. So, the candidate needs to be really committed in performing his daily BAU. Continuous learning will be required via a variety of methodologies including formalized courses and on-the-job training.

The candidate is also responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks for highly complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require good knowledge of unit functions and systems. Duties may include:

Account and Event services (Closing accounts, account management), Asset Movement Services, Trading services (Trade processing / Settlements etc.), Holding Services (Mutual funds processing / Portfolio Reconciliation etc.)

Handle the queries form the onshore teams/clients/customers.

Performs a variety of operational tasks in middle office area which high complex in nature.

To be able to escalate any discrepancies/issues to the supervisors in a timely fashion.

Very good understanding of market participants like custodian, clearinghouse, brokers, Investment Managers, exchange etc.

Leads and/or participates in production improvement efforts; and addresses procedural impacts

Trust Client and Advisor Services is seeking for a candidate to perform various back office & middle office functions, which involves Account maintenance, Asset movement, Trade processing, Reconciliation, Account Closing, etc. The candidate will be primarily responsible for executing the production work across functions based on the necessity with minimal supervision. Process with stringent cutoffs and tight deadlines with 100% accuracy daily, so the candidate should possess the sense of urgency and willing to go beyond the expectations.
The candidate will be part of the dynamic staffing team that will be responsible for ensuring seasonal volume uptick across functions. So, he/she should also adapt quickly to the processes they are part of and shift strategies to meet different types of challenges / demands.
  • Securities/Custody/Investment banking experience.
  • Understands the functionalities of US capital markets and various products like stock/equity, mutual fund, bonds etc.
  • Desirable to have experience of interacting with US customers/external parties
  • Performs a variety of operational tasks for moderately to complex level
  • Detail-oriented with very good problem solving abilities
  • Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions

  • Ability to question or escalate findings to a manager in a timely manner for resolution
  • Proficiency with the English language (written and oral); reading comprehension
  • Strong communication skills to include written and oral (listening and speaking)

  • Proficient in personal computers and the ability to use multiple applications at the same time; proficiency in MS Office tools (notably Word and Excel)
  • Ability to function in high work volume environment and remain focused under pressure
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet applicable deadlines
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated
  • Candidate should have good basic accounting Knowledge
  • Experience with Trust services
  • Very good understanding of tasks like reconciliation, matching, trade settlement, Capital markets etc.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills and numerical skills
  • Typing Skills / Good Communication (Read / Write / Speak)
  • Desirable to have experience of interacting with US customers.
  • Transition experience will be an added advantage
  • Must have an undergraduate degree. Commerce Graduate (CA/CFA/ICW/M.com /MBA Finance vertical will be an added advantage)
