Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Quant Model Solutions Specialist for Finance Transformation Office. The Finance Transformation Office (FTO) is focused on Finance Organization wide technology & tool strategy, as well as prioritizing and executing on key modernization initiatives including automation, agile transformation, culture, and analytics. The Finance Transformation Office leads the Strategic Analytics Product which covers Reporting, Forecasting and Analytics.

As a member of the FTO, one has the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities. These include model implementation, analytical process design and optimization, reporting design and implementation, workflow automation, tools development, and thought leadership.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex model maintenance and optimization initiatives related to operating processes, controls, reporting, testing, implementation, and documentation
  • Design and implement report, visualizations, and dashboards using Power BI/Python across various topics and define required supporting data architecture.
  • Support the technical build-out of various reporting / BI tools that enable analysis, modeling, and / or advanced data visualization
  • Partner across various groups to work on complex assignments. Groups include but are not limited to Wells Fargo Technology, Risk Management, Investment Portfolio, Treasury, and various Finance teams
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data sets, quantitative models, and model outputs and transform into easy-to-understand reports.
  • Advise and guide team on moderately complex model optimization and processes strategies
  • Independently resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of policies and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Learn new technology and leverage technology to solve finance problems
  • Deliver on priority transformation efforts
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Quantitative Solutions Engineering experience, model operations or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 3+ years of working with processes that leverage Power BI, Python, SAS and SQL.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of data sourcing automation and/or reporting.
  • 3+ years of working with fixed income, mortgage, and commercial/consumer lending products.
  • 3+ years of Python (with Pandas/NumPy/Polars) experience.
  • 3+ years of Power BI experience.
  • 2+ years of Linux/Unix experience
  • 2+ years of Finance Organization related work
  • 2+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: Git, SVN(Subversion), Azure Dev Ops
  • 2+ years of experience using Agile scrum development environment.
