About this role:
Wells Fargo Inventory Finance is seeking an Underwriting Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop a team of individual contributors in underwriting, approval, documentation of new credit requests, credit line renewals for existing customers, and on-going monitoring of the current portfolio
- Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Inventory Finance Underwriting functional area
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Conduct financial and credit research as well as prepare risk assessments for presentation to more experienced management
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives, and operations of Inventory Finance Underwriting functional area and team to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Collaborate and consult with Inventory Finance Underwriting peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers as well as interact directly with external customers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Inventory Finance Underwriting
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
- Review and approve transactions within assigned credit authority

- 4+ years of underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Experience working with Senior Leadership and Independent Risk Management
- Experience underwriting transactions in Inventory Finance , Asset-Based Lending groups or Commercial Banking
- B.A. degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- M.B.A. or equivalent preferred

- Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX and Atlanta, GA- $111,100,00 - $197,500.000 Annual
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
