About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Enterprise Risk Officer to lead Consumer Lending (CL) Chief Risk Officer (CRO) risk oversight and transformation for the CL Shared Services (CLSS) and CL Marketing (CLM) organizations. This role will partner with CLSS Operational Risk Business Oversight (ORBO) and Business Aligned Compliance Officers (BACO) to provide holistic, unified risk leadership and oversight of CLSS and CLM.
The individual will leverage their deep experience in cross-discipline risk management and knowledge of the Consumer Lending businesses to drive effective review and challenge on CLSS and CLM business and risk program execution. They will achieve this through ongoing alignment with front line leadership in risk committees, councils, cabinets, and other engagement routines.

Additionally, the Senior Lead Enterprise Risk officer will be responsible for identifying and executing on oversight enhancement opportunities, partnering across IRM (Independent Risk Management) functions to drive forward progress on transformational risk initiatives.
The Senior Lead Enterprise Risk Officer will sit in the CL Risk Analytics, Delivery & Oversight (CADO) team.
In this role, you will:
- Play a lead role in CRO oversight of CLSS and CL Marketing, partnering with business aligned risk partners to inform an end-to-end risk perspective
- Identify and escalate CLSS and CLM risk concerns to risk, front line, and control leadership
- Represent CL CRO in ongoing risk engagement routines with front line, Audit and Legal partners, including attendance at risk program working groups and product cabinets
- Lead review and challenge on outcomes arising from CLSS and CL marketing risk program execution.
- Deliver solutions that are long term, large scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to improve oversight practices, considering integration with business processes and strategy.
- Develop and deliver consolidated risk reporting, providing executive management and committees with actionable risk insights
- Maintain internal partnership with the business and other business units, Audit, Legal, regulators, and industry partners on risk related topics
- 7+ years of Risk Management experience (Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong understanding of the Consumer Lending business and associated risks
- Strong understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) as it relates to risk identification and assessment
- Demonstrated ability partnering with risk teams to provide effective review and challenge of business outcomes Strong understanding of risk/business policies and programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels
- Strong relationship management skills
- Meaningful knowledge across the enterprise risk management framework, including the following: risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
