Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Design Researcher - Advisor Platforms as part of the Advisor Platforms Product Management organization within Wealth and Investment Management (WIM). The Advisor Platforms Product Management group leads the strategy, design and prioritization of the Advisor Desktop experience and Advisor tools to enable growth across WIM's full-service and independent advisor channels. The team drives close collaboration across all Wealth & Investment Management product verticals and 3rd Party FinTech to drive a consistent and seamless experience for Advisors and Client Associates. - Lead a range of qualitative and quantitative user research activities that shape product strategy, help to define user behavior needs and motivations, and guide user centric design decisions that align with business objectives
- Independently conduct a range of user research methods including interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, persona development, surveys, and other discovery practices as needed
- Employ quantitative data gathering to measure success and express user behavior across the platform
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate research findings into all stages of the product development process
- Design and execute research plans tailored to strategic initiatives and filling gaps in understanding user behavior
- 7+ years of Website or Application Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years' experience in conducting user research on large-scale, multi-user B2B or B2C platforms
- 2+ years' experience creating strategic research initiatives that drive product decisions
- Expertise in a range of qualitative research methods and familiarity with quantitative measurement techniques
- Expert analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to infer user motivation from behavioral data
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to effectively share research insights with stakeholders at every levels
