Wells Fargo is seeking a Data & Analytics Senior Lead Control Management Officer for the CSBB Consumer Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (CDAI) Control team. The Control Management team is responsible for engaging with the relevant business groups to identify, assess, manage, and mitigate current and emerging risk exposures associated with business activity and operations.

The candidate will engage and drive risk and control activities across the Consumer Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence organizations. Responsibilities include being the primary point of contact for leadership and line of business team members on all risk and control matters. This position will be responsible for customizing, implementing and monitoring risk-based programs to identify, mitigate and control risks (operational, compliance, model, strategic, reputational).

The Data & Analytics Control leader will engage a large/matrixed team of risk professional and work across functionally with multiple support partners. The candidate will work closely with other senior leaders across CSBB and the company in development and execution of company's remediation and control strategies. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships with many functional areas, lead change in a highly matrixed organization, provide insight into regulatory climate, and identify trends which may present opportunities or reflect gaps in the Company's strategic execution/direction.

In this role, you will:
  • Act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business lines
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks requiring in depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, as well as good understanding of models, data management, technology, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, and business process management
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leaders on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for highly complex risks associated with business operations
  • Lead and mentor Control Management project or virtual teams
  • Engage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior Model, Analytics, Data Science, Data Management Leadership
  • Working knowledge of Risk Framework including RAM/KRI, Issues, ITV, EBCE, FLIV, RCSA, SAA, and ICP
  • Audit experience
  • Experience working with regulators
  • Prior experience managing large teams in a heavily matrixed environment
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience building effective Risk/Control programs
  • BA/BS and/or Advanced Degree (MBA, JD, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, products, and regulatory environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to process multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven leadership ability to drive successful execution of business initiatives
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and set goals
  • Ability to influence and consult strategically across a large organization and with various levels of leadership/stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of relationships and transaction processes
  • Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure appropriate and
  • effective risk mitigation controls are in place
  • Risk Management Certifications
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work onsite at one of the locations listed below three days a week.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
